It is advisable to avoid the violent closing of windows and doors, to handle the locking elements with care, in order to ensure a smooth and comfortable operation.
Also, the elements of carpentry were designed to withstand the inherent functions of its operation and should not be applied to these other types of loads such as scaffolding elements, lifting elements, air conditioning equipment without the supervision of a competent technician or any other mechanical request perpendicular to the glass cloth.
In case of maintenance work on the facade or inside the house (cleaning, painting, plastering, ...) it is advisable to protect the element in order to avoid splashes or stains.
It is recommended periodic cleaning of the elements due to the environmental pollution of the area in which they are located. In areas of high environmental pollution, whether of industrial origin or high dust carried by the wind, monthly cleaning is recommended in order to prevent fine dust from depositing on the element, fixing it and making it difficult to remove it.
ANODIZED
For aluminum placed indoors, the cleaning is reduced to a periodic passage of a clean cloth.
Once a year, it can be cleaned with soapy water (neutral soap or traditional soap "Blue and White") and remove with cold water.
The washed surfaces should be wiped with a soft cloth or chamois.
For aluminum applied to the exterior, cleaning is important due to the presence of contaminating elements from industrial fumes.
It should be noted that the humidity level of the environment also attacks the anodic treatment of aluminum.
Depending on these factors, windows and doors should be cleaned periodically.
In cases of more aggressive environments cleaning should be performed once a month.
LACQUERED
It is necessary to make periodic cleanings of the lacquered aluminum.
The frequency depends on the surroundings of the work.
In any case, it should be held at least once a year.
Cleaning should be done using a 5% solution of a mild detergent or soap with water.
Cleaning should not be carried out with the frames exposed directly to the sun.
Do not use aggressive cleaning products or cleaners (such as scouring pads or brushes), nor use abrasive materials, organic solvents or detergents that are unknown to the chemical composition.
For PVC the cleaning is reduced to a periodic passage of a clean cloth.
Once a year, it can be cleaned with soapy water (neutral soap or traditional soap "Blue and White") and remove with cold water.
Finally, the washed surfaces should be wiped with a soft cloth or suede.
Never use detergents with polishing additives or scrub with scotch-brite products, since there is a high risk of irreparable damage to the surface.
In the case of glass, these must be cleaned with the usual product and means for this purpose.
In neither case should you use solvents that affect PVC such as acetone, ether, etc ...
In no case should you use limescale products that can damage the glass.
For the maintenance of the fittings that give movement to the windows it suffices, in normal conditions of atmospheric aggressiveness, to lubricate them once a year with the purpose of guaranteeing their conservation.
Apply a few drops of lubricating oil. It is recommended to use lubricants that repellent of the powder.
In case of seals, it is advisable to clean them once a year with a cloth impregnated with siliconized joint lubricant, in order to keep the surface and its elasticity clean.
Never use flammable or alkaline substances. Both PVC and glass are very sensitive to these substances and should never be subject to the influence of such substances. It is very important to wash these elements immediately with plenty of cold water and a sponge without abrasive power or a soft cloth.
Never use detergents with polishing additives or scrub with scotch-brite products, since there is a high risk of irreparable damage to the surface.
OBS. Following the recommendations described above can extend the life of your frame.
